Black Sea Coast

North Coast

The sea resorts north of Varna, occupies a pretty stretch of coast just north of Varna and south of Cape Kavarna. The wide, long beach is protected by dunes and during the long sunny days the temperature of the water is 28C/82F .The resorts on the north coast can offer numerous small shaded parks and gardens. Children and toddlers are kept occupied with the likes of kiddie trains, well-equipped playgrounds, and organized festivals. Adult sports include windsurfing, sailing, para-sailing, speed boating, scooter-driven parachuting, water skiing, horse riding, bowling, tennis, beach volleyball and wall climbing. To soothe sore muscles after all that physical exertion there are Blane-therapy treatment centers. Night Life is as equally varied and includes casinos, night-clubs and lot of restaurants and taverns.
Nowadays in the North Sea coast are growing new villages and new resort areas, because of the huge potential of the area. Despite its reputation as a fast developing tourism destination and a real estate market, Bulgaria is yet to show up on the map of golfers. Gary Player, golf's first great international ambassador and golf course architect owns the Gary Player Group, which has designed more than 200 championship courses around the world are going to design two high-class seaside golf courses on the North Black Sea. According to the South African golfing legend , the two new courses would meet the world's highest standards. A total of EUR 30 million will be invested in building the facilities, one located near Varna and the other near Balchik.This is encouraging the investments in the real estates projects. Kavarna is turning into one of the best hot spots for the property investors.

Bansko Region
Several mountain resorts offer good skiing conditions, the best known being the town of Bansko, the Gateway to the Pirin mountain.

The town of Bansko is located at 925 m. above sea level, surrounded by The Pirin, The Rila and The Rhodopa mountains and its skiing area is on 2000-2500 m. The distance between Sofia and Bansko is 160 km, which means 2 - 2.5 hours transfer time to the nearest International Airport.
Bansko is Bulgaria's number 1 ski resort, having the best and most modern ski centre of all Bulgarian ski resorts. Bansko has the best snow record and the longest ski season (15 Dec - 15 May) of all Bulgarian ski resorts. A brand new resort area with super luxury hotels and holiday apartments is being developed in the Razlog valley home to a luxurious PGA golf course.
Bansko has developed into a favourite ski & snowboard destination, thanks to the excellent ski facilities combined with the unique architecture and historical significance.

There are several landmarks which are of great interest: Sveta Troitsa (The Holy Trinity) Church, the Monument of Paissii Hilendarski, and the Neofit Rilski House Museum. A very interesting sight is The Holy Trinity Church with its 30 m high bell tower and clock, splendid murals and woodcarvings.
Razlog
The center of Razlog
Six kilometers north of Bansko is the valley of Razlog.
A starting point of many interesting mountain-walking routes, which will lead you to a lot of historical places of interest, such as the preserved territories of Krushe and Iztoka, the places of Kalyata and Betolovoto in the Pirin mountain, as well as Stolovatets, Katarino and Perivol in the Rila mountain.
The town of Razlog is well known for its 70 hot mineral spring water sources. Some of these will enlighten your stay as they are opened as public baths, and have long been recognized for their healthful virtues.
A new ski resort has also received planning application. Situated on the other side of Razlog Valley, Razlog will receive an investment of 150 million euros to build new ski facilities.
